Land Of Our Fathers. Land For Our Children.

Restoring, Improving & Protecting Our Environment For Future Generations.

It's not always obvious to see the natural beauty of where you live. But when you get up into the mountains above Cwmclydach it becomes clear how special our area is.

It's difficult to imagine a world where our children would not be able to enjoy the wonderful views and magical wildlife of the South Wales valleys. However, with global temperatures rising our climate will become less predictable putting both our ecology and geology at risk.

It's up to today's generations to protect and restore the environment, restoring the balance between man and nature.

The Cwmclydach Partnership is committed to supporting environmentally responsible projects. If you have any ideas for a project, then please contact our communities first team. They will endeavor to provide the information and support you need to get your project off the ground.

Just look at some the projects we're already leading, and there's a lot more to come in 2009.

What can I do to Support the Environment?

Reduce Your Carbon Footprint - There are lots of simple ways you can reduce your carbon footprint. Many of them can save you money too!

Get Active In The Community - There's no better way to improve the local environment than getting involved with an organisation that puts environmental improvement at the heart of its activities. Cwmclydach River Care Group raises funds for community projects aimed at improving the Countryside Park and Mountain Forestry.

River Care Group Projects

Community Clean Ups - Cwmclydach River Care Group is highly active within the countryside park and organises several clean up events every year to keep the river and lakes in peak condition.

Bio-Diversity Audit -  In 2009, Cwmclydach River Care Group will be leading a Community Bio-Diversity Audit. The purpose of the project is to encourage the community to take an interest in local wildlife. The study will also allow us to better plan community projects in future.
